• Home Team is on the First Base side.
• Home Team manager prepares field for play.
• Every player bats and plays in the field.
• The ball is hit off a batting tee - there is no pitching.
• There are no walks or strikeouts.
• No stealing. Player stays on the base until the ball is hit.
• No bunting, leading off, or sliding.
• An inning is over when all the players have batted once.
• Standard game is four innings or 2 Hours.
• Scores are not kept at this level.
• Safety helmets must be worn by all batters / base runners.
• A batter will be taught not to throw the bat.
• All players play the same amount of time.
• The ball must travel (hit off the Tee) at least 10 feet or it is foul.
• No fielder may cross the in play line (see below) until the ball is hit.
• On deck player stands 10 ft from player batting. The on deck player is not allowed to hold a bat while waiting.
• The use of tobacco in any form is prohibited on the playing field, benches and dugouts.

FIELD LAYOUT

1. A batting tee is placed on home plate.
2. Bases are set up 50 feet apart.
3. The pitcher's rubber is 35 feet from home plate.
4. The playing line or dead ball line is drawn 10 feet in front of a line drawn across the field from first base to third base. A batted ball must cross this line to be fair.

Suggestions:

• All players must wear athletic footwear – sneakers. Cleats are frowned upon at this level, may lead to ankle injuries.
