Every year, the MYB assembles four tournament baseball teams comprised of talented players that want to pursue highly competitive baseball well into the summer months of June, July, and even, August. The MYB supports 4 separate teams for 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds. Each team competes in tournaments that are structured by the Cal Ripken Baseball Association. Play starts with either a District or Area tournament. Based on the place the team finishes in that tournament will determine if they move onto the State, then Regional, and finally National tournaments. Each tournament team can also choose to participate in an invitational tournament that might better prepare the team for that first upcoming District/Area tournament. Tournament baseball is a unique opportunity for a dedicated child to work hard, and play competitive baseball with peers, who in the end, want to become better ball players.
